Here’s a great quote from William C. Easttom II:
“God says do what you wish, but make the wrong choice and you will be tortured for eternity in hell.
That sir, is not free will.
It would be akin to a man telling his girlfriend, do what you wish, but if you choose to leave me, I will track you down and blow your brains out.
When a man says this we call him a psychopath and cry out for his imprisonment/execution.
When god says the same we call him “loving” and build churches in his honor.”
Funny how the Bible has been available, and translated in a wide range of languages for centuries.Yet very few until this day started
really asking questions.
For two decades I was a Christian and secretly hated GOD deep in my heart.I looked up in the sky crying saying why are you doing this
to me.After years of research through scripture and internet I developed a opinion. When shit started going wrong that should,nt
I thought God was punishing me insubordination.I was taught in
Church as a child this would happen if I withdrew from God.
I started thinking “What a sick motherfucker”. I started flipping off the
sky on a regular basis. The logic was”If Heaven will be full of Republican rightwing fanatics, how bad can Hell really be?
Thanks to Websites like this one, I have been freed.
But now I come to find, all the energy I spent hating God was
in vain. Oh Well.
Hi Royce,
I’m so glad you are finally free! Too bad about all that misspent energy hating a non-existent being. But you know, hating ‘God’ was at least an appropriate emotion. The folks who ‘love’ and ‘worship’ the “sick motherfucker” are the ones with real problems.
